Dave's songs tell tale of town's history

A SLEAFORD song- writer and musician has discovered some of the town's history while writing a new song.

Dave Wilson, half of folk duo Winter Wilson, was asked to write a couple of songs for a play based on the history of the West Banks area of the town.

THE spring production for Sleaford Little Theatre brings nurder, mystery and intrigue to the stage. Strictly Murder, by Brian Clemens will be directed by Little Theatre stalwart Hilary Shields. The year is 1939, the is place Provence in France, untouched and unaffected, it seems, by the rumbles and echoes of the coming war. Or is it?

SLEAFORD Little Theatre's next production will be Strictly Murder by Brian Clemens.

The production, directed by Hilary Shields, will take place at The Playhouse in Westgate from March 21 to 24.

Playhouse exterior gets facelift

Over the past month South and East facing walls of The Playhouse have been usnder some refurbishment work. Both the South and East side of the building are exposed to the weather and over the years has been hit by harsh winds and rain. The damage was starting to show and it was decided that it needed re-pointing.

Concert raises money for soldiers

A concert in aid of Help for Heroes raised £3,000. The music night at The Playhouse, Sleaford was organised by local man Steve Wiles.

A Helping Hand

Sleaford Little Theatre has recently recieved a number of extremely generous donations. Some of the donatees are wishing to remain nameless however recently the donation of £500 from tescos in Sleaford was published in the Sleaford Target.
